Daisy

Day #115

The Daisy
I'm a pretty little thing
Always coming with the spring,
In the meadows green I'm found,
Peeping just above the ground,
And my stalk is covered flat,
with a white and yellow hat.

Little children, with you pass,
lightly o'er the tender grass,
Skip about, but do not tread,
On my meek and lowly head,
For I always seen to say,
"Surely Winter's gone away".

Daisy

I think your soul remembers
Things weren't always as they are,
A reflection of the night
Before the street lights stole the stars,
And something in you is yearning
For where are the wild things went,
And daisy in the cracks
Amidst a world made of cement.

Thank you for taking a look!

See you next time!
