Day #185
Scientifically speaking, a tomato is definitely a fruit. True fruits are developed from the ovary in the base of the flower, and contain the seeds of the plant (though cultivated forms may be seedless). Blueberries, raspberries, and oranges are true fruits, and so are many kinds of nut.
Tomato is one of my favorite foods to eat... alone with salt and pepper, in a salad, pizza,sandwich made with home made bread and sliced tomatoes, stuffed, grilled, canned...you name it I love tomatoes..
Since the photo challenge for today was Lemon, I took a photo of my home grown, 'Lemon Boy Tomato', fresh picked ready for tonight's salad!
