Someone to care.
Someone to rejoice with,
A laugh that's shared.
A second opinion
When something's not clear.
And when you are downcast,
Someone who brings cheer.
A chance to be real, when
The world wears a mask.
When burdens are heavy,
One who shares the task.
For times when you're lonely,
Someone who'll be near.
When you need a listen,
Someone who will hear.
That one-in-a-million
You trust your heart to.
A faithful companion
Who'll always be true.
Someone to care.

each other at the waters edge.
Then flew off after I took their photograph.
