I am back from my trip to Airdrie, AB. Where I spent most of my time giving Tracey and Will a hand around the house. Having someone there to do the extra bits while the new mommy and daddy settle in, was a very special memory for me... because my mom (thank you mom xoxo) she did that for me.

As you can tell by my excitement, I was very delighted to there before and during the early stages of labor and after they came home...  I hope these pictures will tell that story.

Day#260: Christmas Dress
This Christmas dress for the baby was purchased by her grandmother, and the dress needed a sweater which was knitted up in a day!
While I was knitting, Tracey was making these German Christmas Stars, for her tree and also to give away to her loved ones. This tradition, was carried down from Grandmother, to my father, to me and to my own children and maybe one day passed down to my grand children!
Day#261: Stars

Day# 262: Grinch
I remember as a child watching The Grinch! That became a Christmas Classic, and we still look forward to watch each year! We also teased one of my brothers (so sorry) saying he was our family's Grinch! (so sorry )
Tracey made this Grinch light, she did such a great job! That Song still plays in my head....
Day# 263: Grandma Julie
When Tracey and Will went to the hospital, as the momma, I did some pacing around the house. Checking my phone... I don't know about you, watching your daughter go into labor was a new experience for me. When the baby was born, and everyone was fine and in great health I decided to go for a walk.... I took a selfie an this clear blue sky day.. now I wonder what my Oma would say... do I really look like a grandma.. like the grandmas we remember as kids...( you don't need to answer here LOL )

I was so excited when Tracey, Will and Kennley finally made it home from the hospital... I could hardly wait to take her out of the car seat!

New Family

Day#264 Baby Kennley home sweet home

Day#265: Ginger Snaps
While I was at Tracey and Will's, I cooked meals, tried to keep up with laundry, and baked goodies for Christmas. Such treats as Butter Tarts, short bread cookies, ginger snaps, chocolate chip cookies, butter horns, and cinnamon buns.
Day# 266: Proud Grandma

Holding Kennley, we kept studying her, wonder who does she look like, mom, dad, or grandma...grandpa.... I  think she looks like herself.  I love all of her expressions! Trying to photograph them was a fun challenge!

Day#267 giving Grandma the Eye!

Day#268: Bath Time
The cat, Kissa, was very curious about the little human that had arrived at home. I loved the fact that when the baby was getting a bath, Kissa was either at the bathroom door watching or on the counter close to the action!
Kissa even presented the baby with one of her own cat toys!

Day #269; Cousins!

In Airdrie, I also have my son, daughter in law and 3 grand children. We decided to go sledding on their local toboggan hill. That gave me a chance to play with with 55mm-25-mm lens! I wanted to get some action shots!
Day#270: Photo Bomb!

Day#271:  Mother & Daughter
Day#271: Ashton
Day#271: Father and Son

Day#271; Father and Son
Day#271: James.. he never stopped smiling!
The day ended with Hot
Chocolate, Christmas movies while snuggling with Grandma... and an amazing dinner prepared by my daughter in law Danielle.

Day#272; Kennley 1 week old

Day#273; Uncle Andrew and his new niece

Day#274: All dressed up

I do believe that girls are born with a shopping DNA. My boys when they were babies had no patience for shopping, but my daughters, a very different story! This little one has her mothers Shopping DNA! ha ha ha!

James got to meet his new cousin....he was a little afraid of such a tiny thing... and you can tell that Kennley had only eyes for her mom who was taking the picture!

Day # 275
Don't grow up to fast little one.. just know you are loved by so many!

Day#276, Flying Home
