Day #285
North Canada red neck version of Curling
Robert and I, we were out for a walk to the newest park in Prince George, called; Nechoko Riverside Park. It is a brand new park which opened this fall, which is now closed because of winter. But, we managed to find away in the park and walk down to the rivers edge.
You combine, water, ice rocks and the spirit of a child inside you.... what do you get!
A New Outdoor Game!
Equipment required:
Ice on a river, pond or lake, 2 to 3 inches thick- DO
NOT WALK ON THIS ICE!
lots of rocks and stones at the edge of the river, pond or lake.
Rules:
You take turns tossing rocks onto the ice, try and keep them on the ice.. they will slide off and you receive 0 points.
If you manage to toss a rock and it makes a hole in the ice! You have earned 2 points!
If you can manage to toss rocks into the hole, you get 2 points!
Ricochet your rock into the hole, receive 1 point!
If the ice breaks off and your rocks floats away... GAME OVER!
Robert was clearly the winner, he made the hole 2 points and managed to get 3 rocks in that is 6 points with a total of 8. I put one rock in 2 points and a ricochet which is 1 point with a total of 3. And with all the rocks being tossed on the ice..we managed to have some of our rocks float away. (if you look at the centre of the photo!)
See you very soon!
take care
