Books

Day #259

Books; the ones that come to my mind are my journals. Over the  years I have written many journals.
I did start writing a diary when I was in high school, I now wish I had them to read the teenage me. (high school was not a very pleasant time of my life!)
I burnt them just before leaving for college. I did a wee bit of writing during those college years, a turbulent time of my life.. and then started again as a part of grief therapy and continued because I didn't want to forget moments, that I had a story to tell.

Do I have them burnt after I die, or do share them with my children and family to read?
Something I will have to decide.

I have written an article, and spoken to a discussion group about writing a journal.

I have started to keep mementos, theater tickets, plane/train tickets, tours, post card, photographs, letters, notes and cards. Sometimes I get my grand kids to write in my journal for me to find and read.

Books

I try and write every day. Some days it is a few lines, and sometimes it is pages and pages!
Most of my journals have been gifts from my children and my Aunt Pat. Writing in them makes it more special for me.

Thank you,
Please share any comments or suggestions.

take care,

until next time
