Tea Pot

Day #117

Today is Canada's 151st Birthday, and instead of going to the local parks to celebrate with hundreds of other Canadians, we decided to go out and enjoy the beauty Canada has to offer.
Tea Pot Mountain is located north of Prince George BC. It is about a 50km drive north of the city on highway 97.
The trail length is a 1.4 km hike up and down Teapot Mountain. The mountain offers 360 views of surrounding lakes, rivers, forests and wetlands.

Hiking up the trail, was like walking on a dry creek/river bed full of rocks, going up hill. On the hike we were accompanied by thousands of mosquitoes!  That did not stop us from going up, because seeing the view was spectacular and worth the hike up!
The last part of the hike we were met with a directional sign. And there the tea pot count had begun!

We counted 17 Tea Pots, including  a lid, and a tea pot at the bottom/start of the trail.
The view behind the last photo is Summit Lake.

Something to be said, to the the only ones up on top... for a short while... many hikers with their families were on their way up as we headed back down!

Happy Canada Day to us all!

Thank you for taking a peek!

See you next time!
