Handwriting

Day #330

This maybe a myth, but I have heard rumors that the Elementary Schools will not be teaching the children how to hand write. Which I think is a sad situation. Just think of the letters, stories, poems their families had written, and that generation of children will not be able to decipher. We won't even bring up all the historical documents!

Last year I received a photocopy note that my grandfather, Arno Hennig sent to my father, Arno Hennig when he was a boy. My grandfather died just at the end of the war. His family grew up with out him, my grandfather knows nothing about his children and their accomplishments as adults.
This photocopy piece of paper from my grandfathers handwriting is precious to me.I was excited to find out that this note was saved after all this time.....  If I touch the letters, will it bring me closer to my Grandpa Arno?

I know it is easier to zip off an email/test message to family and friends. Maybe if everyone hand wrote a note and sent it to one person.... maybe that note is the one they keep and give to their ancestors in the future.

Thank you for taking a look!

See you very soon.
